At the beginning of September Kirkintilloch Horticultural Society held a successful flower show in St. Mary’s Church hall, this year in association with Glasgow and District Fuchsia Society. Held on a sunny day, this event had a good number of exhibits, with a tombola and popular tearoom adding to the enjoyment of those attending.
Our next meeting will take place in Enterprise House on Thursday October 17, from 7.30pm - 9.30pm when our speaker will be David Menzies who will talk about the R.H.S. Chelsea Flower Shows held between 2006 - 2024. David is internationally renowned for his knowledge and expertise in orchid cultivation and has held positions at Kew Gardens as well as Glasgow Botanical Gardens during his working career.
