Spring Outing
Due to a clash of dates the spring outing to Geilston Garden, Cardross, has been changed from Saturday 10th May 2025 to Thursday 15th May 2025. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and understand this date might not suit some people. Geilston Garden is, however, open 7 days a week and can be visited from now until the end of October. The garden, in our President's opinion, is especially worth visiting in May.
The details are:

As you can see from the link above, this is a National Trust property so entry for members is free. The cost to non members is adults £10 and adult concession £7.50.
This is a magical 200 year old garden by the River Clyde.
There is no transport arranged so please make your own way there and we will meet at the garden around 11am.
Afterwards we plan to have lunch at Ardardan Garden Centre, Cardross.
Summer Outing
This will be to Pitlochy House Garden, Gateside on Monday, 14th July.
The bus has been booked and it is a 50 seater so the more the merrier (and cheaper!). It will leave Lenzie station around 09:30 and will do a second pick up in Kirkintilloch - details to follow. This is a work day so it is likely the station car park in Lenzie will be busy.
We will travel from Lenzie via Loch Levens Larder where we will have a late morning snack then on to Falkland Palace before getting to Pitlochie House at Gateside. We will have tea and cake at Pitlochie House. The coach will take us to all three places and drop us back in Kirkintilloch and Lenzie around 5pm.
Pitlochie House, Gateside is a private garden and has two walled gardens as well as 140 varieties of hosta. It is part of the Scotland's Gardens Scheme so more information about it can be found here - https://scotlandsgardens.org/pitlochie-house/
