Minutes of committee held on Wednesday 7th August 2024
Present : A. Lothian, R. Hatcher, I. Hatcher, M. Gibb, A. Bryson, W. Bryson, R. Sherlock, A. Carswell, P. Malcolm
President reported that Enterprise House has been booked for next session. AFS schedules have been sent to the 2 judges.
Treasurer reported onthe current financial and membership status. We presently have 25 paid members with someone else still due to pay and 3 life members. Press Officer reported that there will be relevant material in the Kirkintilloch Herald regarding the forthcoming annual show. Social Secretary suggested 2 possible gardens to visit next year ie Pitlochie House, near Kinross and Willowhill garden which recently featured in the Beechgrove Garden. Speakers Secretary reported that with the exception of March a full programme has now been organised for next session. Web Admin stated that there had been 100 visits to the website since the last committee meeting. Poster for the AFS has been placed on various Facebook pages as well as the website and 50 people have shown interest in the schedule.
Annual Flower Show organisation and planning was discussed and checklists worked through.
